British Taekwondo Fighters Arrive in Cuba

Havana, Jan 9 (Prensa Latina) The British National Women's and Men´s Taekwondo Teams will arrive in Cuba this Sunday, Carlos Bonasco, national commissioner of taekwondo, informed.
Bonasco told Cuba´s News Agency (AIN) that the visit of the British teams will be very important and advantageous for the Cuban taekwondo national team that is training for the Pan American Games Guadalajara 2011.

Bonasco said that the British are very good and that they will bring to Havana their Olympic and World medallists. That represents a great opportunity to know in what shape the Cubans are.

Sarah Stevenson (67kg), bronze medallist in Beijing Olympics, Bianca Walkden (+67kg), second in world ranking and Jade Jones (57 kg) are the most outstanding in the women´s team.

From the men´s team the most outstanding are: Aaron Cook (80 kg), Olympic and world gold medallist and first in world ranking, Tony Grisman (68kg), Davoud Etminani (74kg) and Craig Brown, 13th, 19th and 23rd in world ranking respectively.
