Israel wins with Batel silver medal in Open France of Taekwondo

Paris French Open is a prestigious competition which is ranked A level (highest rating). The competition is held every year in Paris with the participation of athletes from all around Europe as well as several countries from Asia and America. Participants in the competition receive points for their achievements in the competition, which added to the score rules that every athlete. Scores are accumulated and credited for the athlete toward the official competitions such as World European Championships, and the Olympics.

Batel Geterer (Ahi Yehuda) participated in the 57 kg Olympic weight category, and despite her medical condition and injuries, she managed to demonstrate an excellent fighting level with 4 victories and a silver medal. In the 58kg category, Adam Sagir (Ahi Yehuda) ranked 9th with 2 victories.

Ron Atias (Sharabi A.L) and Liran Malachi (Sharabi A.L) won one fight each one in this category. Yuval Bochbot (Hapoel Kfar Saba) won one fight in 68 kg category. Congratulations to the athletes and to Israel's National Coaches Yechiam Sharabi and Adi Davido.
